When installing the Publishwide Sync App on Windows, you may receive the following warning:


To run the installer:

  • Click on More Info on the "Windows protected your PC" box

  • Click Run anyway to run the installer.

Alternatively, you can run the application by doing the following:

  1. Right-click on the Publishwide Sync install file and select Properties

  2. Under the General tab, select the Unblock checkbox next to the security message: This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer.

  3. Click OK

  4. Run the application

The reason these warnings appear is because Microsoft Windows SmartScreen flags newly updated files that have not built up a long enough history on their database.

To view the certificate:

  • Find the installer file for the Publishwide Sync App

  • Right click and choose Properties

  • Click on the Digital Signatures tab

  • Select any one of the signers, and click Details

  • Click the View Certificate button in the new window
